I had a bit of time over the NZ Covid lockdown so decided to make a ratty gokart scooter ride. Basically built it from mostly parts found in the shed (and a few cheap parts). It's motor is a 420cc, 15hp Lifan stationary motor from a wood chipper.
The front end is a butchered italian scooter neck, the seat from a tractor, the rear axle from a quad bike. Added a torque converter, built the chassis from scratch and used brakes from a mountain bike. it was built to a max 120cm to fit in the back of the 51 Ford pickup. The fuel tank was a sectioned old fire extinguisher!
Awesome fun project, still some refinements to make but will keep chipping away at it... Fun toy!
